(<strong>Do<\/strong>cumenting &amp; Digitising the <strong>Re<\/strong>cent <strong>A<\/strong>cquisitions of the Numismatic Museum) project is co-financed by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and by the Federal Office of Culture (FOC) of the Swiss Federation. Following the call for applications, the Numismatic Museum was granted a total of 61.300 euros by the Swiss authorities. This funding will cover the expenses for upgrading the Museum\u2019s laboratory equipment and for digitising its collections.<\/p>\n<p>The main goal of the DO.RE.A. project is the digital documentation of the Numismatic Museum\u2019s acquisitions during the last 15 years. Furthermore, it is to raise public awareness in relation to the protection and management of moveable cultural heritage, especially coins, medals, seal stones, weights, lead seals and other specimens kept at the museum.<\/p>\n<p>The main work packages of the project comprise <strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nummus.gr\/en\/?p=20608&amp;preview=true\">the recording and digitisation of the acquisitions<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, their conservation and the application of analytical techniques in order to examine their composition.
