The Numismatic Museum is organizing a temporary exhibition on the theme: Alexander of Art, 6 depictions, which will be presented in the “Money and Society” room on the 2nd floor of Ilios Melathros and will last from December 19, 2024 to February 25, 2025. This is a fruitful visual dialogue between ancient coins that depict the figure of Alexander as a young beardless man with beautiful features but at the same time with the dynamic and haughty style of the soldier. Tracing these cultural sources with particular sensitivity, the artist N. Tsiaparas is inspired by them, breaks the forms and at the same time fertilizes them, creating six original painted works of art.
